Collagen surgical threads, also known as absorbable threads, have been used for over 30 years in general surgery, since they are non-traumatic and biocompatible.
In cosmetic surgery, their main use is the elimination of fine lines with fantastic effects in terms of facial rejuvenation, as well as lifting the facial planes. These absorbable threads inserted under the skin stimulate the body’s own production of connective tissue around the thread. The medical designation for this is fibrosis.
